“This single factor alone, will determine whether you are rich or poor in life… Whether money flows to you or away from you.”
Mike Dillard makes no bones about the fact that he believes this to be one of the major determining factors that led him to go from waiting tables with no money to speak of, to becoming a millionaire in 18 months and generating over 15,000,000 over the past 5 years.
Before we get to deep into making it out like money is all that matters, we need to take a step back and look at what freedom actually looks like.
Let’s say that you have finally made it big. You pour yourself into a product that has a lot to offer to the general public. You actually solve a problem that millions of people have and they are willing to pay you for the solution. The attention that your product generates is huge and you know that it is going to sell like hot-cakes.
Launch day comes and you are not disappointed.
Thousands of people buy your product and the money starts to pour in. Your wildest dreams are coming true, and you are going to be living the good life that you have been fighting to achieve for so long. That’s the happy ending right? If only this were true.
The fact is that the more money you make, the more problems that are on your table to solve. With any business that deals with people (that’s were all money comes from, by the way) problems and work are a natural result of that success. The more money you make in your business, the more work you will have to deal with.
Hiring Employees Must Be the Solution Right?
Wrong again. Sure this will make your business run smoother, and any good business person knows that you can not run a business by yourself. You need good people to run it along side you. Hiring employees does not take the work away. It simply delegates the work that you can’t do, so that you can focus on the work that demands your attention.
This isn’t mean to be a downer. This is simply to point out that there is a difference between making money and having freedom.
However, we are not talking about what it takes to make money.
We are talking about creating genuine FREEDOM, and real freedom will never come to you as long as you are working for money. This is true, no matter how much money you make, whether it is thousands, or millions.
The fact of the matter is that, you are never free until you learn how to make your money work for you. The people who understand how to make their money work for them have a very different mindset that most people do not understand or have the ability without changing the way they think.
In this Lesson of The Elevation Group, Mike Dillard pulls no punches in telling the truth about when things changed for him and how he was able to take that and turn it into a profitable machine.
One of the biggest things that I personally have learned is that FEAR is the biggest enemy of progress. You can not be afraid to make a mistake and hope to make anything happen that will have anything more than an average impact on you and the world around you. There is just no room for it.
The Fear of mistakes, creates mistakes. The fear of judgment, creates errors in judgment. The fear of deciding on a direction for your life and business grinds everything in your life to a halt.
It is time to realize the value that is inside you and use that to help other people who are having the same problems. Most people feel that they have nothing to offer, and as long as that is the case, IT IS TRUE. You must know and understand where your value lies. Whatever value you may be missing, is as simple as learning it, owning it, and giving it away to others in a way that is valuable to them.
If you have found this post valuable, you are going to be blown away by what Mike has to offer. Don’t take my word for it. Check it our for yourself.
